My dd needs some new shirts so I finally got around to trying out the Lizzie McGuire (4390) mock turtleneck in a size 16. She really likes this shirt and the fit. She is growing so fast right now I hope it lasts. I forgot to add length to the pattern and she wants her shirts long so I copied a piece from an ottobre tee that had a flare at the bottom and added that. I lettuced the hems as the fabric is quite flimsy and would be hard to hem. I think it adds a little style to the shirt too. I also added some velvet ribbon at the seamline. Unfortunately, she kind of needs the stretch at that spot for taking on/off. Ooops. Didn't think of that. I might take the seam out up to the ribbon and finish both edges and leave a little vent on each side. As it is the fabric catches on her hips and blouses up a little. Not too bad but the vent should help and it will probably look a bit better.
